Holiday Trash and Recycling Collection Schedule for Labor Day
Services suspended on Monday, resume on Tuesday

(Washington, DC) In observance of Labor Day, DPW will be closed.  There will be no residential trash and recycling service, street cleaning, graffiti removal or sanitation enforcement on Monday, September 6.  Additionally, there will be no booting, towing or parking enforcement, including rush hour, meter and residential zone parking restrictions.

Services will resume on Tuesday, September 7.  Once-weekly Supercan trash collection and citywide recycling will “slide” one day for the remainder of the week, beginning Tuesday.  Households that receive twice-weekly city trash service will have Monday’s trash collected on Tuesday, and Tuesday’s trash collected on Wednesday with normal collections on Thursday and Friday.
